I wasn’t suggesting that you write something “which resonates with everyone…” Just something that may go beyond the 1%. “Trying to be cognizant of white privilege,” is not what I’m suggesting, and such is not going to get you to what I am suggesting — that you seek out ways to go beyond liberal White America, 1% of humankind. “White skin” does not “preclude you understanding,” and, further, from joining humankind. Lack of willingness is not a biological shortcoming. It is a spiritual disorder. Your formulation: “You are precluding me from writing about my exclusively White liberal topics in an exclusively White liberal way because I am White,” is definitely a formulation in the spiritual tradition of white supremacy.
